VAYGR DESTROYER TIPS Hmm, i added this small .TXT just to give you some tips. First of all: The .pdo 3d representation is twisted, but i applied a mirror to the development so once you build it it will be ok (long hull in the right side and short hull in the left side). Second: again, some pieces will require 2 pages to be printed, but you can always resize the model if you prefer. Third: this is not moduled. I know i should make moduled and coloured models but i find myself unable to deal with the click-the-correct-face in metasequoia, and i dont know how to use the color tutorial in paint pro. Fourth: this is not an A.I. but i guess it can serve as reference. Its the order of building i followed to assembly it: 1--Start by building the pieces of the GROUP 1 (that yellow sensor and the red hull section). 2--Then build GROUP 2 (right low hull section) and glue it to the antenna section you previously assembled. This way you will have the low section of the right hull assembled. 3--Start assembling the GROUP 3 pieces. Theyre mostly the base of the middle base of the ship and the frontal central face (that triangle piece). Once you got it assembled you can build also one of the cannons and glue it to the low hull. 4--Now you can unite the right low hull to the central low hull. 5--Start now with the GROUP 4 pieces (2 Pages of GROUP 4 pieces). Theyre the left hull ones. Once you got it done you can glue it to the base of the central hull. This way you will have: 1--left side, 2--Right lower hull, 3--Central lower hull all in one piece. 6--Start now to add the middle hull sections (those long thin dark small ones) to the right hull. They will serve you to add later the upper right hull sections. 7--Now you can add the upper right hull sections of the GROUP 5. But only the sides (5.2 and 5.3). Leave it open from above because you will probably have to add some bulkheads inside before closing it with the upper piece (the one with the missile pods -5.1- ) 8--With the right upper section still opened, start assembling ther GROUP 6 pieces. Theyre the central upper section and the bottom lower sections. Start by the botton lower sections (those ones adjacent to the engines) uniting them to the main body. Then add their current middle hull sections (again those thin long dark small pieces). Once u have done it you can build the central upper section and asembly the second cannon and glue it there. Better glue the upper centra section only in one edge and leave it as a opened box because you will need to get your hands inside the model before closing it. 9--Start assembing the GROUP 7 pieces: the engines. And then unite it tho the main body. This way you will have the entire model almost done, excepting the bridge sections... more or less. 10--Its very suitable to put SEVERAL bulkheads inside the model because its quite big. Balsa wood has been always my solution to the inner surfaces and for the bulkheads themselves in big models with long sectionslike this. 11--Now you just have to start closing the model: first glue the missile pod section of the right hull (5.1). Then close the upper section of the central hull. 12--Then start adding the bottom upper sections (GROUP 8): the 2 side hull and the upper one. Then build the command bridge sections and close it. 13--The rest are the details and the antennae. I know these tips are a bit messy but my english is not perfect. Hope they serve you as reference. Finally one more thing: i revised the model BUT if by any chance i have forgoten to edit any flap, or added 2 flaps in the same section just modify it or add them by yourself. Enjoy it.
